If there’s one place I know and love, it’s Washington, D.C. I’ve called DC home for more than a decade, and it never ceases to amaze me. From its lush parks and world-renowned art museums to an incredible food scene, the nation’s capital has so much to offer. While I’ve rounded up some of my favorite spots, there’s always more to explore in this vibrant city.

Top DC Restaurants You Can’t Miss

1. Rooster & Owl (14th St.)

Arguably the best restaurant in DC! This is a four-course dining experience, so plan for a full evening. Reservations are a must.

2. Villa Yara (Georgetown)

A stunning restaurant with beautiful interiors. The menu leans toward tapas-style dining, so expect to share. Don't leave without trying the dessert!

3. Le Diplomate (14th St.)

A DC staple where the trendy crowd gathers. This French brasserie is famous for its classic dishes and elegant ambiance.

4. Mi Vida (The Wharf)

Enjoy breathtaking waterfront views along with some of the best Mexican cuisine in the city. Ask for a terrace seat!

My favorite DC music venue! Located on The Wharf, making it easy to grab food and drinks before or after the show.

3. Visit a Comedy Club

For laughs, check out Arlington Drafthouse or DC Improv, which hosts big-name comedians regularly.

4. Rent a Bike & Explore the National Mall

A fun and affordable way to see the city. With docking stations throughout DC, you can hop on and off for just $8 a day.

5. Attend a Nationals or Capitals Game

DC sports culture is strong! Before a Nationals game, visit The Bullpen for pre-game fun. After a Capitals game, head to Penn Social.

6. See the Cherry Blossoms Early in the Morning
