Iconico was located near where Hannah was living, and she had become friends with the owners, Clara and Nico, which made every visit feel personal. The café — modern, art-focused, and effortlessly cool — with incredible fresh baked goods by Clara and one of the best matchas I had the entire trip.

Heim had been all over TikTok for their strawberry matcha, so of course we had to try it — and it completely lived up to the hype. It quickly became our favorite brunch spot, with the strawberry matcha, shrimp brioche, and cozy bright atmosphere making it the perfect place for a slow rainy morning in Lisbon.

The most famous Portuguese pastry in Lisbon is, of course, the Pastel de Nata, and I tried quite a few while we were there. My favorite was one we grabbed while wandering around the square — warm, flaky, and perfect with a coffee — but I also had a really delicious one while exploring the flea markets in Alfama with Hannah on a rainy morning.

Hands down one of the best meals we had in Lisbon. We stumbled upon it after going to Hannah’s class at Prescription Pilates, and the dinner quickly became a favorite — I ordered the sea bass, and the table filled with olives, cheese, tuna, sardines, and endless small plates, making the whole evening feel relaxed and communal in the best Lisbon way.

Worth visiting for the chicken croissant alone. It made the perfect quick lunch stop before wandering through MUDE and spending the afternoon around the square — simple, inexpensive, and one of those unexpectedly memorable bites.

Tucked behind the streets of Lisbon, O Jardim felt like one of those hidden spots you stumble upon and instantly love. A table of olives, small bites, and wine turned into one of those simple moments that stays with you long after the trip ends.

One of those relaxed dinners where you accidentally stay much longer than planned. While the dinner was delicous, what really stood out here, were the desserts, Hannah and I got three different desserts to share and they were unbelievable.

The pistachio gelato from Nannarella was one of those simple Lisbon favorites I keep thinking about. Creamy, nutty, and not too sweet, it was the perfect excuse to slow down and wander a little longer.

This highly sought-after, tiny shop steps right into the flea market. I got a small bird (swallow) ceramic — a symbol in Portugal that represents returning home — which felt like the perfect little keepsake.

Probably my favorite vintage shop we visited. Funky, colorful, and filled with pieces that felt genuinely unique rather than overly trendy.

The park right near the basilica where locals walk dogs, sit with coffee, and escape the city for a bit.

Right next to the flea market and absolutely worth touring. We paid around ten euros to go inside and climb to the top for panoramic city views.

It's so pretty to see the nod to Portugals' history and the views over Lisbon’s rooftops and the water are incredible.
