Travel guide

Lisbon, Portugal

I spent a week in Lisbon visiting my best friend Hannah, who had been living there for the last year. Fall felt like the right time to go... the city felt slower, moodier, and less crowded than peak summer season — the kind of trip where you spend hours wandering, lingering over coffee, and ducking into little vintage shops.

If you’re planning a trip, here are all the places worth bookmarking.

Favorite Spots to Eat

Best Shopping in Lisbon

One of my favorite things about Lisbon was the shopping. The city has such a good mix of curated boutiques, vintage stores, and design-forward concept shops without feeling overly polished.

Sites Worth Seeing

Add a day trip to Sintra

An easy day trip from Lisbon, Sintra felt like stepping into another world. Mist rolled through the hills, colorful palaces rose above the trees, and dramatic gardens made everything feel almost cinematic in the rain. Inside the palaces, layered history and culture came through in ornate tile work, murals, carved ceilings, and richly detailed interiors, all set against the moody gray November sky that made it feel even more magical.
